Who We Are

In the Ontario countryside, as 3 Fates’ founders we are committed to a cosmetics line rooted in what nature provides. 

We carefully nurture herbs, flowers, and fruits without the use of chemicals or synthetic additives. Our products not only nourish the skin but also symbolize a deeper connection to the earth and its bounty. The cosmetics line stands as a testament to our unwavering dedication to ethical practices and the power of nature. 

When you look at the ingredients of most moisturizers, water is the primary ingredient. Water is cheap, but it does not moisturize; on the contrary, it dries out your skin. Oil is what moisturizes, but since oil and water don’t mix, synthetic emulsifiers must be added to blend the two. Water also invites bacteria, so synthetic preservatives must be added to delay the spoiling of the moisturizer. Of course, the marketing team of the big brand skincare line will parade lab scientists extolling the virtues of this or that synthetic chemical, and with all the money saved by using water as the primary ingredient, celebrities can be paid to promote the line.

We’re at the point now this sort of system is visibly breaking down. We longer trust that the big brand cares about what’s best for our skin. Fundamentally, the belief that we can do better than Nature is outmoded. Nature provides us with all we need to nourish and hydrate our skin—why would we even begin to think otherwise?
